Help raise money for the Maine Chapter, National MS Society by donating products or services for the MS Powerboat Poker Run!
What is a Poker Run? The MS Powerboat Poker Run is great fun for boating families – a relaxing day on the water followed by a barbecue and awards party, all while helping to raise funds to fight the debilitating effects of multiple sclerosis. The MS Powerboat Poker Run is part of the MS Harborfest Weekend (a charity auction at the Woodlands, a sailboat regatta, a shoreside festival, a tugboat muster and races, as well as the Poker Run.) All proceeds from the weekend events go the Maine Chapter, National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The Poker Run is not a speed race. It's simple. It's fun. It begins with the powerboats parading through Portland Harbor and then cruising through the harbor to six marinas where each boat crew picks up a card stop tag. Then it's back to DiMillos where the tags are exchanged for a seven-card poker hand, with the best hands winning valuable prizes. During the festive BBQ party, fantastic baskets filled with products (all are donations by local merchants) are raffled to raise additional funds.
We are asking you for a donation of products or services which can be used as Poker Run prizes or in the raffle baskets. This is a great way to help people suffering with Multiple Sclerosis and promote your company.
